Gradschool Life at 3 Idiots.

Being with different types of people will really improve the way you look at life. Noong una sobrang nakakatamad pumasok kasi nga once a week lang minsan nga every other week pa e.

Naisip ko rin na, kaya ko ba to? Pero dahil isa sa prinsipyo ko ay to never second guess myself, go lang. Sakay lang. Sabi kasi nila Graduate School is not for everybody dba?

Akala mo mababaw yun pala malalim.

Ganda nung message nung movie, mararamdaman mo talaga bawat eksena kasi meron dun yung sinagot niya yung teacher nya tapos pinalabas siya which happened to me kaya nakarelate ako. I really recommend this to those who already have or are planning to quit on studying or kahit anong ginagawa mo. Good job Indians. Hanggang sa muli. Sayonara. Doumo Arigatou Gozaimasu. Koko kara, koko made.

MORTAL KOMBAT REBIRTH

MORTAL KOMBAT REBIRTH

What the hell is it? It is definitely not a trailer for an upcoming movie but a pitch to Warner Bro's (who now own Mortal Kombat) by a man named Kevin Tancharoen, (yes he is the director of Fame) he planned the whole thing in 2 months and he shot it for 2 days only, amazing right? What happens next? Will we see a resident evil type of treatment for the world renowned classic MK? I know fanboys who act like they're professional movie critics or something will hate the short film because it clearly stayed away from ideas like magic, gods, special powers, another world. Its funny how these people react, like they are being paid to critic someone's work, if you don't like it then make your own MK adaptation and stay the hell out of this one because this is effing cool.

While watching the short vid expecting another dumbass spoof, i was immediately stuck because of MICHAEL JAI WHITE. He was the perfect spawn, that guy from undisputed, and now Jax. And i do hope Scott Adkins will play a part because these two have unfinished business (watch Undisputed 2 and you'll know what i mean)

I personally think that the idea of realism was great, its so simple and this is where the first 2 MK films failed, the 2 worlds just don't fit and its just plain boring but don't get me wrong, i loved the MK movies back then. Want another good news?

"Is there a plan in your brain for how to put “fatalities” into the movie?

Tancharoen: I would definitely have them.

OH YEAH!! ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME!

Lets just hope that Sub-Zero wont be throwing ice cubes. I read the exclusive interview and Tancharoen claimed that he did this whole thing with $7500, imagine what he can do with a few more zeros. I'd pay good money to see this one and one thing's for sure, 7:53 minutes of this short film is way better than 2 hours of that shitty Dragon Ball Z remake.

I dare not miss it because I do not wish to have a lifetime of regret. So i'll watch it which will give them money ergo making them richer but i don't care. I get to see Liu Kang kick some ass again anyway.

Macario Sakay: Traitor or a Patriot?

INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL

I wont be writing in Tagalog because I want to deliver a message in a language that most will understand. When I asked a 15 year old high school student if he knows who Macario Sakay is, he laughed and probably thought i was joking or something.

L to R: seated, Julian Montalan, Francisco Carreon, Macario Sakay, Leon Villafuerte; standing, Benito Natividad, Lucio de Vega. The Generals.

General Macario Leon Sakay was one the greatest patriots the Philippines has ever had and yet he was branded as a traitor in his own land and was even considered a wild bandit. How can this happen? Simple and straight. We are ones who were responsible. We believed in the Americans while abandoning our own countrymen. They did not even recognize our OWN independence until later. (The Philippine Independence day was originally June 12 but the Americans and the Spanish did not recognize this and they assigned July 4 as the date of our independence and was only changed back to June 12 66 years later.)

Sakay and most of his men had long hair, this hair style was not usual during their era. The Americans saw this as an opportunity so they exploited it in their quest to portray Sakay and his men as wild bandits preying on the simple folk of the countryside. Even today, many in the Tagalog area (most of whom have never heard of Macario Sakay) refer to a man with long hair as "someone who looks like Sakay." This is, perhaps, a testimony to the effectiveness of the American propaganda campaign.

I know one man who was considered a traitor in the past, then later a patriot. He even became a president. His name is Thomas Jefferson. The author of their Declaration of Independence. Basically both men were the same, but their audiences was different. During the American Revolution the Americans supported their fellowmen against the English. We chose to abandon Sakay and his men. We could have had a greater country now and a proud one if we choose to fight back as free men. No one is born to be a slave, I actually thought that Filipinos back then was having fun being occupied and only few have the courage to deliver their voices. We owe it to guys like Macario Sakay. The heart breaking past revealed that a plot to kill him was actually successful because of a Filipino. The same with Andres Bonifacio, The father of the Katipunan who was betrayed by half of his army and was subject to a firing squad by the same men who he believed fought for him. The fact that the bravest men in our history was betrayed is just plain sad.

TAGALOG REPUBLIC'S FLAG

They formed a republic (The Tagalog Republic) and we ignored it. We wish to become free yet up until now we are trapped by our colonial mentality. We choose to laugh when a pinoy speaks his foreign tongue while we admire people who speaks straight english. I encourage everyone to please support our own country and let us have our identity. Let not the sacrifice of our heroes be in vain. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.

The Real Jack Dawson

Titanic folklorists long held to the oddly unshakeable belief that J. Dawson was a James, but this is now shown to be just another false assumption. His dungarees and other clothing immediately identified him as a member of the crew when his remains were recovered, and it is ironical that there are indications that Dawson had gone to some length at the time of deepest crisis to assert his right to an identity.

THE REAL JACK DAWSON

A little over a mile from a house in Dublin there is a nursing home, where the oldest surviving member of the Dawson family lives out a feisty twilight at the age of 88, surrounded by crosswords and puzzle books. May Dawson was born in that year of 1912.

She remembers tales of Joseph Dawson, the family member who went to sea aboard the greatest vessel of her time. The trimmer who signed with a modest and economical first initial, instead of the Christian name that pointed to Catholic upbringing, identified with a plain "J", just as he had been when voyaging on the RMS Majestic, his first ship before Titanic.

How Joseph Dawson, a trained carpenter whose toolbox survived in the family for many years, left his home city and found a berth on the ship billed the "Queen of the Seas" is a story in some ways more fascinating than even that woven around his invented namesake, Jack Dawson.

The similarities between fact and fiction are striking however - both were young men, both largely penniless, who "gambled" their way aboard Titanic. One a serf to coal, the other a character who wielded charcoal to woo; and both were intimately bound up with beautiful sweethearts.

Yet the Joseph Dawson story has more with which to amaze and enthrall than that of the Di Caprio portrayal. There is more to it, indeed, than can be told in an hour-long documentary tailored for a TV mass market. Charlie Haas, Brian Ticehurst, Alan Ruffman and your essayist herewith all contribute interviews to the programme, "The Real Jack Dawson", made by BBC Manchester, which will air after Christmas.

Joseph Dawson was born in the slums of Dublin in September 1888 - at the very time when Jack the Ripper's reign of terror among prostitutes was at its height in the gas-lit cobble lanes of neighbouring London.

Poor Joseph Dawson, thinking of his Nellie as he stuggled up from a liner's innards to a star-pricked sky that night in April. Had it really come to this? But a few months journeying with the Majestic, a glimpse of home again when the Titanic called to Queenstown, and now to face a lonely death in freezing wastes. He began taking off his shoes. buttoned the dungaree pocket in which he'd placed his Union card, and bit down hard on his lip.

There was a belief in the family that Joseph Dawson might have married Nellie Priest. The newspaper report and a search of Southampton marital records for 1911-12 are all against it. Perhaps they had simply pledged their love forever.

Joseph Dawson - carpenter, boxer, lover, trimmer, Irishman - lies half a world away, sleeping in a green slope in Nova Scotia, his grave now more popular than even that of the Unknown Child. It is a must-see site for the passengers of cruise liners that placed Halifax on their itinerary after the success of the highest grossing motion picture of all time.

Jack Dawson never did exist. But Joseph Dawson, taken for all in all, was a man of flesh and blood, ripped from the veil of life at a tragically early age. So were they all, all flesh and blood. And their stories deserve to live, those of all the humble headstones serried nearby, tales untouched by a brush with recent fame.

Destiny

Ituloy ang laban..this was the tag line of Liberal Party's standard bearer Benigno Simeon Aquino III..Laban which strongly relates to his late mother and former president Corazon C. Aquino. His parents became the voice of the masses under the regime of Ferdinand Marcos.

Blessed are those who were in Epifanio de los Santos Avenue or otherwise known as EDSA during the first People Power Revolution during 1986. It was democracy at its full power. Its actually poetic. Its the stuff of magic and i will give my right hand to go back in time and witness it firsthand.

But before all of the ruckus there was one man, a man so brave that at a very young age of 17 he was able to cover the Korean War, a man so driven by his desire to serve the people that at the age of 22 he became the mayor of Concepcion, Tarlac, a man so heroic that he was willing to die for us. His name is Benigno Aquino, Jr...Ninoy.
Of all the traits that he possess, the one that stuck to me was his ability to inspire others.

The Filipinos are worth dying for..

and died he did..but the passion did not..The fire was still there..and millions of Filipinos fueled it. They rallied behind the wife of Ninoy and they were successful.

At February 25, 1986, Corazon Aquino was peacefully sworn in as the 11th president of the Republic Of The Philippines.

Cory Aquino 23 years later she died of colon cancer..there were no words to describe how magnificent the reaction of the people due to her death. The same reception was given to her and her late husband. They were so loved.

The fire was revived..and it was their only son..Noynoy Aquino's time to harness it. 15.7 million Filipinos trusted him the highest position in the land. He inherited the blood of heroes. So I hope he wont let us down. I believe in luck but the factor that played the key role in his victory was Destiny..he was supposed to be there..from the moment Ninoy was shot and fell on the concrete tarmac of the Manila National Airport, his journey began.. Its his destiny. Make the 3 stars and a sun proud. Godspeed.

5 THINGS TO DO/ACCOMPLISH BEFORE I DIE

I've always dreamed about writing about this topic ever since i read my sister's planner. She listed 10 things that she would like to do before she die. I laughed hard at it back then when i read the part where she'd like to learn how to play the drums. I was like "What for?"..Now i know why and i hope to God she's not reading this.

1. Before I die..I'd like a dog named Charlie. Like in the movie The Kid..Russell wanted to have a dog when he grows up. Dogs are cool. Don't get me wrong, this is not a deep one. I really really really just want a dog, any dog will do. On second thought, a golden retriever would be nice..hmmmmm nah any dog will do. I want to rule out the possibility of a Robodog having a place in my crib. What the hell are they up to? Seriously? Yes its surreal in some ways, but who cares? Do they really think that a lump of machine can replace a real dog's company?

2. Before I die..I'd like to own a boat. Any boat will do. Though the ocean can cause me a bucketful of vomit, I wont care. I shall name her "The Dianne Meryl". I want a red one. And my girl would do anything she wants with it, after all it was named after her.

3. Before I die..I'd like to witness a miracle. Hey i know this is to A Walk To Remember-ish but yeah..I like that idea a lot. A talking cat should be enough for me. And hopefully its not an ugly cat for I'll kick the crap out of it if it was. Damn scary.
A person dead for 30 minutes then came back to life brings me no worries because of my medical training. I am exposed to these kinds of stuff and they really do happen. Its science..its no miracle. Ergo, I'd rather see a talking cat than a person rising from the dead (Depending on his/her length of death) Zombies scare the shit out of me. Except those from the game Plants Vs Zombies wherein they could be killed by thinking fast and planting faster.

4. Before I die..I want someone to approach me and thank me all day because i exist. Its nice knowing that you did goodness for someone regardless of his race, gender, stature, smell, ugliness, vanity, pride, economic standing, sexuality etc..That would be nice..God created us equally and in his image, to neglect someone's needs would be turning down God.

Lastly..

5. Before i die..i want a group of people to trust me with their lives. A sense of trust is essential for a man to reach a level of maturity. To be able to trust and be trusted is one of the most if not the greatest achievement a man and woman should accomplish. Before I leave this wretched land, I'd like to be trusted with the hopes of many. Knowing that my every move can alter their very lives will improve my self confidence drastically, merely thinking about it pumps me up. And hell yeah..I would not deny that i seek power to rule among others..much like Don Corleone..respected by many, loved by few, feared by everyone.

Intro 101

Everything i feel, i think, i hear, i see, and touch. This is a testament to my individuality. My quest for peace. My sanctuary. The result of my boredom.

Because I am feeling sentimental..allow me to begin my blogging experience by writing down my top 5 boredom-killer movies with a piece of my mind of course.

MY TOP 5 BOREDOM-KILLER MOVIES

5. The Gladiator

EPIC is the right word to describe The Gladiator. Maximus kicks Roman ass so hard that you will want to savor every bit of this film. The first few minutes will kill your boredom right away. This is just epic nuff said.

4. High Fidelity

The main conspirator and inspiration for my future top 10's or 5's. This movie introduced me to the genre of romantic comedy, in fact this is romantic comedy at its best. And they should thank Jack Black for that. Remember when they said that a film always has its ups and downs? This film proves it wrong. Its very entertaining and if ever you're tired of the same old love story, this is for you.

3. The Last Castle

This movie has captivated the very depths of my soul. You don't see a General court martialed everyday. He led over 1200 brave inmates to rise against a fucking corrupt system. Believe me, you will feel his pain at the scene wherein he lifted a thousand rocks. In every story, there will always be a shithead who will pay the price at the end, with this in mind, I cant help but wait for Col. Winter to get his ass kicked by a four star General.

2. Con Air

A movie so damn entertaining that it will thrill you from start to finish. I don't want to sound a complete idiot by judging the stunts so i wont and just stick to what I enjoyed the most, the storyline, it was so perfect and the characters didn't disappoint. Especially for John Malkovich who played the infamous Cyrus 'The Virus' Grissom, he displayed no weakness and became a formidable antagonist for US Ranger/Convict Cameron Poe played by Nicolas Cage.

1. The Rock

A story about a chemical nerd and a super ex-con who incidentally were the best in their fields. Michael Bay deserves a monument for this movie..I have yet to see a movie which matches The Rock's excitement and sheer reality. The only time i took my head off the screen was when i was checking my phone.
It was never dull. This movie will make you think that Alcatraz was built entirely for the purpose of the film.

I should start to introduce myself but that's too cliche right. Katamad kasi.
